Heflin Mayor Anna Berry presented members of troop 20244 in Cleburne County a proclamation acknowledging 100 years of Girl Scouting. The troop received the proclamation during their award and bridging ceremony at Heflin Baptist Church. The proclamation recognizes the success and influence Girl Scouting has had on the world, and declares 2012 as the “Year of the Girl”.
